✻ Before Your Tattoo:
One week prior: Keep the area hydrated and avoid skin damage.
On the day: Get a good night’s sleep, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol or drugs. Eat a meal, wear comfortable clothing, and avoid caffeine. Plan to relax afterward as sessions can be variable in length. Bring snacks if needed.
✻ Post-Tattoo Care:
Your tattoo is a wound that needs proper care. You'll leave with a protective cover, either second skin or a bandage. Second skin is breathable and waterproof, better than plastic wrap for protection and moisture control.
✻ Care Guidelines:
Wash 3 times a day;
Remove the second skin carefully (see a video here);
From the moment you remove the plastic, use ointment or moisturizer about 3 times a day (I recommend using coconut oil as it is as natural as possible);
Don't pull the scab;
Avoid sun exposure for the first month;
Avoid fatty foods like pork, seafood, and chocolates;
Don't bathe in the sea or pool for 15 days;
Use sunscreen after one month.
✻ Cautions:
If you notice unusual inflammation or signs of infection, contact me or a doctor.
The tattoo might lose some vibrancy during healing but will return to its original clarity afterward.
